Why Read This?

Welcome to the College Opportunities and Successful Transitions (C.O.A.S.T.) blog! As facilitator for this one-year, grant-funded project, I'm excited to include blogging and social media networking as an opportunity to share information, create networks, develop resources and offer advice pertaining to career and college access for adult learners. Come back often to see what we're up to, and please feel free to leave comments and join the conversation! Much appreciated.

You can expect:

  • general career planning and college access information
  • connections to events and programs
  • opportunities to "get to know" Adult Education through features and interviews
  • information about the policies and trends affecting adult learners
  • coaching practices, advising and thoughts from the facilitator
  • resource sharing about anything and everything from financial aid to career planning; goal setting to surviving your first post-secondary education class--resources specifically meant for non-traditional and adult learners
If you or someone you know lives within the communities of Wells, Ogunquit, Kennebunk, Kennebunkport, Arundel or York and have not completed a two or four-year degree or are interested in career development including professional certification, apprenticeships, or college; and/or you are a non-traditional student within Adult Education,  feel free to contact Susan White, C.O.A.S.T. Facilitator at findeventide@gmail.com  COAST services are FREE.
